Singer Chris Brown has been arrested by Florida police on a felony battery warrant following his concert in West Palm Beach on Thursday evening.

Police took Brown into custody immediately after the show, the latest in his Heartbreak on a Full Moon tour. The arrest reportedly relates to an incident in a Florida nightclub in April last year, when Brown allegedly punched a photographer.

The singer was released after posting a US$2000 bond, and subsequently posted on social media that he would perform in Tampa, Florida on Friday evening as scheduled.

What’s NEW🙄????? Show tomorrow!!!! ❤️

Brown has a long history of legal woes, famously pleading guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. In 2016, he was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. In 2017 a judge granted Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran a restraining order against the singer, after she alleged that he assaulted her and threatened to kill her.

The singer was also banned from entering Australia in 2015 on “character grounds”. He responded to the ban by insisting that his presence in the country would help the campaign against domestic violence. Figure that one out.
