Chester Bennington’s Isolated Vocals On Linkin Park’s ‘Numb’ Will Give You Chills

Today Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington was found dead in his Los Angeles home, aged 41.

Bennington was at the helm for all seven of Linkin Park’s albums, from their hugely successful debut Hybrid Theory in 2000 through to their most recent record One More Light, which was released only two months ago.

Thanks to incredible singles like ‘Numb’, ‘In The End’, ‘Crawling’ and ‘One Step Closer’, Linkin Park were one of the best-loved bands of the early 2000s.

Their sound was underpinned by Bennington’s distinctive and extraordinary vocals, and nowhere are they better heard than in an isolated vocal version of ‘Numb’, which was unearthed by a Linkin Park fan back in 2011 and lives on via YouTube today.
