If you live in Victoria, chances are you’re currently cursing the fact you have to go and vote. Yes, it’s a privilege. Yes, it’s one of the most important things you can do. But democracy is awful hard to care about when you’re lying in bed with a hangover so bad you can barely see. It’s difficult to rally yourself to care about ol’ mates Dan and Naptime when the sun is finally out. OF COURSE the election had to be on one of Melbourne’s only good beach days.
But whether you’re a peppy young Lib struggling to hide your raging political hard-on, or an apathetic club kid getting bombarded with flyers after emerging from a long night at Revs, there’s one thing we can all get excited about — there are sausage sizzles happening everywhere today.

Though the number of registered stalls understandably don’t come close to the record-breaking number recorded at last year’s federal election, there are currently more than 240 places listed to stop off for delicious meaty civic duty.
