Bondi Hipsters Star In The Hilarious ‘Mahn Song’, Old Spice’s Latest Viral Campaign

You might remember ‘Mom Song‘, a viral ad campaign launched in January this year to promote Old Spice’s new body spray. While the ballad — a mother’s lament against their boys growing up(ish) —  fell short of the 49 million views of the brand’s original ‘Man Your Man Could Smell Like‘, ‘Mom Song’ was far from a flop. And now it has a follow-up, starring Australia’s own Bondi Hipsters. 

‘Mahn Song’ follows Dom and Adrian as they break it to Dom’s (extremely well-cast North Shore) mother that he’s moving out of home. Again.

The just-released video features all the hallmarks of an upper-middle-class manchild retracing his failed first attempt to fly from the suburban nest: a heap of pre-made meals, a yellow plastic watch, an asshole best friend, and a tell-tale second-billing with Medicare.

Credit where it’s due for attention to detail: those DVDs he swipes through are classic sharehouse fodder: The Castle, Two Hands and The Royal Tenenbaums.
