Everyone Is Roasting Racists For Lying About Being Bashed At ‘Black Panther’ Screenings
Online pissbabies are getting wrecked.
The unmitigated, overwhelming success of Marvel’s unapologetically black smash-hit Black Panther was bound to get some racist piss-babies crying into their neckbeards. And sure enough, a dedicated group of fuckheads tried their best to incite a racist panic.
Over the weekend of Black Panther’s release — which incidentally smashed through a bunch of box-office records — a small group of salty whites first tried to tank the film’s Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB review scores, which was about as effective as trying to punch the ocean away.
Once they realised the futility of this, they then manufactured online accounts masquerading as innocent white people who were assaulted at screenings of Black Panther. The majority of posts included pictures of people in various levels of physical distress, claiming they had been bashed by groups of black people. These mythical people were usually reported as saying something to the effect of “this movie isn’t for you”.
Fake posts are being created to make black people look bad and the sad part of it is some people will believe them #BlackPanther pic.twitter.com/XzNMoxFmWs

The posts are a rather desperate attempt to stir up racial anxieties enough to dampen the overwhelming enthusiasm for the film, and drum-up negative press. However, they’re all easily debunked… usually just by doing a reverse image Google search, which shows that all the “victims” were either from stock footage, or real yet unrelated news stories.
Twitter has since deleted or banned most of these accounts, but people aren’t resting. In one of the more joyful examples of online group mentality, people have started satirising and roasting the original fear-mongering posts, and the results are truly something:

This is my uncle, who was attacked by hoodlums simply for trying to go see Paddington 2. They shouted “bears are not for you old man” and threw jars of marmalade at him that the theater had been giving out pic.twitter.com/sUvEBXqD3L

Black Panther is in cinemas now — it’s safe to go and see it, and it’s really, really good.
