Billy Eichner Is Telling Kids To Eat Vegetables By Screaming At Big Bird And Michelle Obama

Probably not doing great things for their anger issues though.

It’s official. Billy Eichner has the best job in the world. Not only does he get to hang out with Amy Poehler and the Parks and Rec crew while yelling nonsensical things about “Martha Stewart’s apron line, exposed brick, Keri Russell’s hair — unlikely animal friendships, Victor Garber, James Garner, Jennifer Garner,” everything, he’s also made a standalone career out of it.

Eichner’s Billy On The Street series has now been running for three years on Funny or Die. That’s three years of screaming random questions at pedestrians, throwing money at them, and sometimes coercing them to make sexual advances at celebrities like Paul Rudd. It’s the dream.

Now, Eichner has offered his very specific services to the First Lady in an attempt to draw attention to her ‘Eat Brighter!’ campaign; an initiative aimed at encouraging young Americans to eat more fruit and vegetables. Naturally, he achieves this by playing a game with Michelle Obama and Big Bird called ‘Ariana Grande or a carrot?’, getting a frantic trolley ride from the First Lady, forcing her to slow dance while singing Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ and scaring an old lady called Elena.

The “game” kicks off at about 5.50, but you should definitely stick it out till the end of the clip. Billy takes to the street with Big Bird in a giant adorable tie holding strawberries with JK Simmons’ face on them and accosts a confused woman about avocados that look like Emily Blunt.

If primary school was a bit more like this, I’d probably have much better eating habits.
