It was hard to avoid Donald Trump this weekend.

His inauguration, sandwiched between the deeply weird 3 Doors Down concert and his press secretary losing it at the media, seemed to go on forever. It was a bad weekend for news… and what’s worse is that this is the new reality for the next four years.

It’s definitely been a gloomy few days. But there’s been one ray of light shining through. It’s this now iconic video:

For some reason the ABC was interviewing Richard Spencer, a white supremacist and Nazi sympathiser who claims to have invented the term “alt-right”.

Thirty seconds into the interview, while Spencer is explaining Pepe the Frog, he gets belted in the face by a masked attacker. The incident has sparked debate about whether or not it’s okay to punch a Nazi, but, as usual, it’s the memes that have been spawned that are the best thing to come out of the incident.

I present: A Nazi Getting Punched In The Face feat. Thin Lizzy’s ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’

The video is great because of a) the music, duh, and b) the fact that it’s edited to make it look like Spencer is getting belted repeatedly from different angles. The video has led to dozens of other remixes. They’re all pretty good, but we’ve curated some of the best for you.

Rage Against The Machine – ‘Killing In The Name Of’

Phil Collins – ‘In The Air Tonight’

Miley Cyrus – ‘Wrecking Ball’

Bruce Springsteen – ‘Born In The USA’

Kanye West – ‘Blood On The Leaves’

Lin Manuel Miranda – Right Hand Man’

I know it’s early, but I’m going to call this as the meme of the year. It’s a Nazi… being punched in the face… set to great music.

More of it, please.
