You ready for this? Trick question! You are nowhere near ready for this. According to the Beer Street Journal (which sounds like a damn fine publication), ice-creamerers Ben & Jerry’s are teaming up with Colorado-based brewery New Belgium Brewing to create an ice-cream flavoured beer that sounds so delicious it will probably knock a solid twenty, twenty-five years off your lifespan.

The Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale (go back and read that phrase again, slowly. Taste it.) is due to be released in the northern autumn, so we won’t have it in time for our winter, but a calming-down period is probably warranted given this is likely going to be your first reaction upon tasting it.

To make things even nicer, proceeds from the beer will partially go towards Protect Our Winters, a non-profit aiming to fight climate change’s detrimental effects on mountains. That will be a nice thought to have when you fill your bathtub with this beer and go for a swim in it.
