Behold, The First Footage Of DJ Anthony Albanese Tearing Up The D-Floor With His Sick Labor Beats

Last week news that Shadow Infrastructure Minister and senior Labor Party figure Anthony Albanese would be dropping a cheeky DJ set at Bella Union in Carlton set the politically active EDM scene on fire, and thousands lamented that they weren’t able to make it to Melbourne to see Albo do his thing.

Thankfully, footage from that wild night has now emerged, with Karl and Lisa from Today interviewing DJ Albo to see how it went.

Albo was pretty coy about what kind of night he had, but based on his Tweets it’s pretty easy to piece together. Here’s a reconstruction of a typical night for DJ Albo, going off the best evidence available:

1. Roll up to the club with your squad and a half-dozen bottles of fine vino featuring your own face on the label. Get your Champagne Socialist on.

2. Get on the decks, spin that shit. Crank some Pixies to get the crowd pumping. Give a shout-out to affordable and accessible public transport, the engine that drives this great nation.

3. Give the paparazzi a chance to take some shots of you in action. They’re vultures who won’t leave you and your loved ones alone to live like regular human beings, but you gotta keep ’em fed if you want to stay at the top of the game. One of the many sacrifices you make.

4. Get into it. Spin banger after banger, hear the crowd scream your name, melt their fucking faces off. Become an EDM god. If the room starts spinning, that’s how you know you’re alive.

5. Become one with the universe. Transcend space and time to embrace the power of the infinite void. Black out. Wake up in the King George V Stand at mighty Henson Park in Marrickville just in time to see the Jets play on Saturday arvo.
