Watch Nicole Kidman And Kirsten Dunst Wreak Bloody Revenge On Colin Farrell In ‘The Beguiled’

This is Sofia Coppola's creepiest, most bloodthirsty movie yet.

You’d be forgiven for mainly associating¬†Sofia Coppola films with thin, blonde white women having existential crises while French pop songs play softly in the background, but as far as depicting the magic and terror of the young female experience goes, she’s got most filmmakers beat.

Coppola’s remake of The Beguiled does still features a lot of blonde white women — including Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning — but this time they’re the ones inflicting the nightmare.

An injured Civil War soldier called John (Colin Farrell) stumbles upon an all-girls boarding school in the South, where the teachers and students nurse him to health. Once John is healthy, he stirs up some (sexy) drama in the school and the Headmistress (Nicole Kidman) decides that it’s time he was punished. Ooh boy.

The Beguiled will be released in 2017.
