It’s not hyperbolic to say that Netflix has been producing some of the best goddamn television of the last year. Master of None, Jessica Jones, Stranger Things… I mean, the list goes on. Since it was announced that Orange Is The New Black creator Jenji Kohan was producing a 10-part series for Netflix about a female wrestling league in the 1980s, it has pretty much dominated my waking thoughts.

The show, called G.L.O.W, will be a comedy about the ‘Gorgeous Women Of Wrestling’ organisation and if that doesn’t hook you, why do you even watch TV?

Today it’s been announced that Community and Mad Men‘s Alison Brie will play a “failed actress” whose last chance at stardom is appearing on the G.L.O.W TV show.

They’re still in the early stages of casting right now, so we don’t have a release date yet, but this sounds like a great idea. Well done everyone, well done.
