A Pikachu Café Has Opened In Japan Because Of Course It Has
Pikachu pancakes, I CHOOSE YOU.
Have you ever watched an episode of Pokémon and thought, “this seizure-inducing animation, lowered-frame rate, and criminally-lax parenting is all good stuff, but what I’d really like is to take a bite out of that delicious-looking Pikachu”?
“You’re more of a dessert, Pikachu”
Well, assuming you enjoy long-flights before meals, you may well be in luck.
Although the burning desire to catch ’em all seems to have been quelled in the Western world, the Japanese still seem to have their Pokédexes at the ready. There’s a new movie out this week – the seventeenth in the series – and to “celebrate” the cinema release, and because food is now more for looking at than tasting, a Pikachu-themed café has opened in Japan.
CHRIST.
The usual café items are available: a Pikachu head made of rice and corn chips, served on a bed of star-shaped carrots; a cochineal-coloured Pokéball on an island surrounded by meat juices; Pokécakes with Pikachu’s tail sticking out – the list goes on.
Check out all the menu items below, and remember if you feel your meal evolving too quickly, it will probably end badly.
