The initial freedom of celebration is over and now you’ve got nothing but two months stretched out in front of you, with nothing but work to fill those empty days.

Well you can log off Netflix now because we’ve compiled a list of things for you to do that don’t involve 8 hours of re-watching Black Mirror.

#1 Make Scrapbooks

Scrapbooking is such a good project to have when you need to fill those hours before or after work. Have you been on a trip lately where you took lots of photos? Or you want to make a nice collection of your goals for the next 10 years? Whatever you want to document, scrapbooking provides a nice, creative outlet that creates a sense of accomplishment when you’ve finished. Plus, you get to brag about your masterpiece at the end.

#2 Start Reading

Have you ever thought that you need to read more but you never have enough time? Hello! Right now you have nothing but time. It doesn’t even have to be a big novel, it can be something short and interesting that keeps you busy when you’ve got a spare moment. As long as you’re absorbing and comprehending written text, you’re doing it!

P.S.: it’s proven that people who read more have a higher GPA and are more intelligent. So there!

#3 Teach Yourself To Make A Dish

Quit the microwave meals for once and ask your mum (or dad) to teach you a thing or two about cooking. Host a dinner party and impress your family and friends with your new-found cooking skills – they won’t believe a lazy, chicken-nugget-loving student like you is actually cooking real food!

#4 Start A Blog

Starting a blog can help your writing skills (duh) but it’s also great to meet new people and, if you’re really good at it, make a little side money. You can start a blog on WordPress for free and customise it however you like. You can even leave it on private if you’re nervous about people reading it and just keep an online diary.

Writing can be therapeutic and it never hurts to get creative and do some story writing once in a while. You never know, you might be a number one best-selling author waiting to happen.

#5 Get Gardening

Gardening takes a lot of time, planning and patience so it’s perfect if you want a little side hobby that will keep you occupied. It’ll be so satisfying to see the little green stalks poke out of the soil of your pot plant, or taste the herbs you lovingly grew yourself. It gets you outside and practically gives you free veggies that will be ten times better than anything else you can buy at the markets. Gardening isn’t just for Grandma’s, OK!

#6 Find Your Zen With Yoga

Relax your body and mind before you go back to uni with beach yoga. There are many different types of yoga, so you don’t have to worry about not being flexible enough to touch your toes. Yoga doesn’t just put your mind at ease, it also does a whole range of other beneficial things such as building muscle strength, perfecting posture and increasing blood flow. Plus, all the techniques you learn now can be used come exam time. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself.
