It’s so easy to get caught up in the chaos of life and forget to make time for your partner, let alone yourself. Well, no more. Here are a bunch of date ideas that you and your partner won’t be able to refuse.

#1 Try An Escape Room

Nothing unites two people like getting locked in a room together for an hour. Not only will this test your ability to work as a team, but at places like TRAPT Bar you can even knock back a few drinks afterwards.

#2 Volunteer Together

It always feels good to give, especially when you’re with someone you care about. Volunteering is not only free, but it’s also a great way to get involved with social justice causes that you’re passionate about; whether it be volunteering at an animal shelter or donating blood together.

#3 Visit A Lookout

We’ve all seen the rom-coms where the couple has a meaningful time at a lookout. Why not give it a go for yourself? Plan your times carefully to watch anything from the sunrise to the sunset, or even spend some time stargazing.

#4 Spend The Day Fruit Picking

When you think of outdoor date ideas, I’m sure your mind leans towards picnics. Why stop there? Take your outdoor date to the next level by going fruit picking and gathering the picnic yourself.

#5 Plan A Scavenger Hunt For Each Other

Now this requires a bit more effort, but it’s a great way to remind each other how much you appreciate your relationship.

Create a set of clues and a final destination/surprise/gift to reveal at the end of your date.

#6 Exercise Isn’t All Bad

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no gym junkie, but that doesn’t mean I’m not down to play novelty sports.

Holey Moley Mini-Golf Bar has recently opened in major cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane, and is one of the newest date hotspots.

If that’s not your style, be sure to check out activities like rock climbing, rollerblading and ice-skating.

#7 Bake Together

Even if it’s something as simple as a Green’s cake mix, there is so much fun to be had making delicious treats with your partner.

#8 Take A Class Together

It can be anything from salsa dancing to life drawing. The choice is yours. Find something you’ve both never tried before and have a go at learning a new skill.

#9 Sing It Out At Karaoke

There’s no better way to let loose on the weekend than belting out a few Queen anthems. Or, you can always go to the budget friendly route and plug in your SingStar. Make it a competition for extra fun.

#10 Go Glamping

Let’s be honest, camping can get muddy and annoying with insects and the like.

Why not trade all that in for something a bit more luxurious and go glamping? With access to Wi-Fi, city views and of course some quality time with your partner, what’s not to love?

There you have it. Our definitive list of date ideas for couples who have been dating for three months or three years.

Try them all and then come back to Netflix once you’re utterly exhausted from all the fun. Good luck, lovers.
